    Sunny Country House in Kaltay
      Years of design - 2007
                          - 2008

  Floor Area - 160.43 m2

The project of this house was a part of the big project of a holiday village next to Kaltay settlement not far from Tomsk city. The hostel located in unique area surrounded by native pine forest on high Tom river bank.

Ten similar houses were built on this site.

The main projects idea was to create a compact and convenient home, which would be in harmony with this beautiful place. The chosen wall material is a stained pine.

The ground floor load-bearing walls are constructed from LVL bars. The first floor walls are timber framed, insulated and covered with a pine “bar imitation” cladding.

The high stained-glass windows make light and airy the interiors of tall open-plan living and dining area. They help the occupants to dissolve in the surrounding landscape.

The ground floor contains two decks, one of them has a translucent bronze-coloured polycarbonate roof. Also there are open-planed living, kitchen and dinning areas as well as a guest bedroom, bathroom and study on the lower level.

The first floor is a private area, which consists of two spacious bedrooms and a bathroom.

All houses are central gas-heated. The boiler-room is located on the ground floor and accessed from the terrace.

It was decided to locate the houses along the river bank and orient their terrace towards the river. It helped to create “the main façade” of the complex and allow the occupants to enjoy the beautiful view.
